Sushi teaches us that there are many things that we take for granted that may seem simple and non important, but really have a very detailed series of events that go on behind them. Sushi may seem like just fish, vegetables, and rice, but in reality it is a complex global network of food and technological inventions that connect it all. Sushi also shows how many things that are taken for granted can be gone in an instant. Tuna is disappearing very fast, and if nothing is done about then very soon there may be no tuna left. Sushi would never be the same without tuna and would lose its special touch. Many people would also lose their ways of life. So many people work as fishermen, shop owners, sushi chefs, and everything in between. The sushi industry is a complex and vast one that has so many intricate parts. If only one were to fall apart, the whole thing would be ruined. It is important that we realize that so many things are much more complicated than they may seem, and to never take anything for granted.
